Civil & Architectural EngineeringCourse project
A scale truss tested on a shake table, comparing bracing layouts for stiffness against weight.
StageCompleted, Stage 7 of 7
Which bracing layout keeps a light truss stiffest under side-to-side shaking?
Three 1:20 trusses with different bracing, a shake-table test plan, and a report comparing the layouts.
Three bracing layouts were modelled in ANSYS, then built at 1:20 and tested on a shake table with accelerometers on each deck.
